Public golf can open a door to a game, a friendship, a skill or a future someone had not imagined.
Public access is the starting point
Our plan keeps daily-fee golf open to the public, with lower pricing for Alachua County residents and qualifying workers, a regional rate and affordable junior opportunities. Final rates and eligibility will be published before play is sold.
A Lifetime Steward place is optional. It is not a requirement to play, and Stewards would receive the same tee-time booking privileges as the public.
Learn the game. Learn to care for it.
We are developing our own programming around etiquette, understanding the game and care for the course: knowing where to stand, keeping a good pace, repairing a ball mark and welcoming the next player.
We want lessons, loaner equipment, supervised mentorship and educational workshops to make the first visit easier. A proposed play-credit pathway would reward participation and learning, rather than low scores or maintenance labor.
Build relationships, thoughtfully
We are pursuing relationships with local junior-golf organizations, schools and education partners. We will announce partnerships when they are confirmed. Much of our programming will be developed by The Track around the needs of local players and families.
Staffing, supervision, funding, eligibility and schedules will be set before programs open.
Community Supporters
A shared belief in welcoming public golf is enough to get involved. Follow the project, offer an idea, lend a skill or choose to add your name to the community supporter wall. No purchase is needed.
The Community Advisory Board
A separate honorary group lends approved public support to the mission. Advice and further involvement are optional; members do not govern or operate The Track. We publish profiles only with the person’s approval for the website.
